What You Will Do 

As a self-motivated and highly driven Sales Engineer passionate about our mission, you will play a critical role supporting the technical aspects of new sales opportunities in Europe and Central Asia. Tarana is reinventing fixed wireless access and you will be on the leading edge of driving this revolution. 

The ideal candidate will bring experience with service providers of all sizes in this region, from Tier 1/Tier 2 operators to small regional Wireless ISPs to help us accelerate broadband access worldwide

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and present fixed wireless products and solutions to various levels in a customer organization, e.g., engineering to C-suite. 
  • Provide pre-sales support by designing and executing field trials that align with customer success criteria 
  • Work closely with product management to provide insights on product features and roadmap based on customer feedback 
  • Partner with sales leadership to shape and drive strategies that target new customers and expand into emerging markets. 
  • Build and maintain customer relationships with the technical teams at all levels
  • Establish trusted advisor status and long-term partnerships as a key resource for customer technology teams. 
  • Translate complex technical content for diverse customer audiences, both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Required Skills & Experience:

 
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical discipline 
  • 5+ years of experience with wireless data and broadband systems 
  • 5+ year in a customer facing quota carrying sales engineering role 
  • Ability to write, and speak fluently in English. Others languages: German, Russian 

a plus 

  • Proven track record in developing technical relationships in accounts and hunting for new business 
  • Strong technical expertise paired with robust sales and business acumen 
  • Knowledge of the Service Provider Broadband Access industry and current trends
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following areas: 

○ Radio Network Planning & RF Design 

○ OFDM based wireless systems like Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G-NR 

○ IP routing/switching, L2/L3 networking protocols 

  • Experience with one or more RF design tools: EDX, GNP, Atoll, iBwave
  • Understanding of local regulatory requirements related to RF data systems
  • Practical experience with PtP or PtMP wireless systems in licensed and unlicensed frequency bands 

Desired Skills: 

 
  • Experience working with tier 1 or tier 2 telecom operators and large internet service providers (ISPs) 
  • In-depth knowledge of PHY/MAC layers for wireless systems, with a strong understanding of signal processing and protocol structures 
  • Familiarity with advanced wireless technologies, including smart-antenna radios, interference cancellation, and beamforming 
  • Proficiency in RF and microwave network design, link budget analysis and propagation modeling 
  • Practical experience with troubleshooting and optimizing wireless systems in real-world environments 
 

Preferred Locations: Austria and Turkey open to UK and Germany 

Alternate Locations in the region will also be considered 

Expect 30-50% Travel within your sales region

 

Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
