As a Mechanical Design Drafter, you will work with engineers and designers on a variety of projects to transform initial rough designs and hand sketches into working documents using SolidWorks 3D Design software. This includes detailed piece part fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance of released products.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Provide 3D modeling and 2D drawing support for the Mechanical Engineering team. ▪ Ability to design new products/components and redesign existing products/components using SolidWorks 3D Design products.
Create detailed piece part drawings and Bill of Materials that meet engineering standards. ▪ Work with internal customers and external vendors to source new components. ▪ Ability to incorporate engineering change notices.
Review work on engineering designs for manufacturability, accuracy, and completeness. ▪ Incorporate corrections, revisions and updates to layouts as directed by the engineer. ▪ Coordinate and work in conjunction with other drafters, designers and engineers in the design, layout, and detailing of related products/components.

The salary range for this position is: $110,000 to $150,000
Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
